Conspectus of Mineral Processing

Chromite (FeCr2O4), specific gravity 4.3-4.6, hardness 5.5-7.5, is the only useful mineral for chrome ore beneficiation, which also can be used as high grade refractory. It has weak magnetism. Generally the harangue minerals have iron ore, which make trouble for strong magnetic separation. As the mineral has large granule size, it always adopts the gravity separation method.

Application

Chrome ore beatification production line can be applied to the production of chromium.

Technology Advantage

Generally it adopts two-process crushing, one-process grinding, spiral chute roughing, spiral chute scavenging and shaking table concentrating process.
The detailed process is as follows: the raw material is send to the rough crusher by the vibrating feeder, then to the fine crusher. After that, the raw material comes to screen, at this process, the material on the screen(big granules) will go back to the fine crusher for a second crushing. And the material below the screen is acceptable product which can be transferred to the spiral chute for roughing. After roughing, three grades production are separated out: the concentrate ore, the middling, which goes back for a second beneficiation process, the tailing, which come to the spiral chute for scavenging. After scavenging, the concentrate ore is sent to the shaking table, also three grades production are separated out: the concentrate ore, middling, which goes back for a second beneficiation process, tailing, which is threw away. Materials from the shaking table are separated as concentrate ore, middling(go back for a second beneficiation process), tailing(threw away). After that, the final concentrate ore is sent to the setting pond. And tailing from the first and second spiral chutes are dehydrated together in the setting pond and sent to the tailing pond in the end. Water from tailing pond can be reused.

Production Instance

A 150TPH chromite ore beneficiation production line. This project achieves a high ore grade by using the gravity concentration. The grade of chrome concentrate is 48% or more, and the comprehensive metal recovery rate is up to 70% or more, which has huge economic benefits.
