Magnetite ore is the main mineral of iron ore beneficiation, In domestic iron ore concentrate production, it accounts for about 3/4 of magnetite concentrate. With the development of beneficiation technology, the grade of magnetite concentrate production have greatly improved from about 60% to 65% -67%, especially with the application of permanent magnetization of magnetic separation equipment in the 1960-70s and the fine screen technology in the 1980s. /p>

Technology Advantage

Generally it adopts two-process crushing, one-process grinding, three-stage low intensity magnetic separation process. That is to say, rough crushing, fine crushing, screening, fine grinding, classifying and three-stage low intensity magnetic separation process. The detailed process is as follows: the raw material first screened big granules away by bar grizzly, is send to the rough crusher by the vibrating feeder, then to the fine crusher. After that, the raw material comes to screen, at this process, the material on the screen(big granules) will go back to the fine crusher for a second crushing. And the material below the screen is acceptable product which can be transferred to the fine ore bin. Under the bin there should be a feeder, the fine ore is send to the ball mill by belt conveyor. And further, the material goes to the spiral classifier, also the big granules are send back to the mill for a second grinding. The material in the spiral classifier overflows and goes to three-stage low intensity magnetic separation process.

Production Instance

A 0.5 million tons per year magnetite ore production line in Liaoning, NE of China. This project achieves a high ore grade by using the low intensity magnetic separation process. The grade of iron ore concentrate is 65% or more, and the comprehensive metal recovery rate is up to 85% or more, which has huge economic benefits.
